Word of Wisdom blog

I recently found a great blog that I had to share with you all--cited in the Deseret News.
wordofwisdomliving.com

It is well-researched, well-written, and is spot-on with all that we've been discussing about health.
Real Foods Market is mentioned in the comments.
There are other people out there trying to live this!!

Attention Scholars

Hi Guys
We are going to be having scholar club at my house TOMORROW night.  That is a change from our usual Thursday meeting.  It's great weather so we will have a bar-b-que and meet at 6:00.   Please bring a pot luck dish to share and drop me an e-mail if you can make it so I know how much chicken to make.  Those of you who haven't given your presentation on the book you read we will plan on you tomorrow.  Keep reading Joan of Arc, I would like to see all of us finished with it by our first meeting in April.  Hope to see you all tomorrow!  Heather

Something to Think About...

Man is the Master power that moulds and
makes,
And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes
The tool of Thought, and, shaping what he
wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills:--
He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass:
Environment is but his looking-glass.

As A Man Thinketh

date: Wednesday, April 13

Attention:Scholars

Hi kids
Just a reminder that we have scholar club this Thursday at 7 PM.  Please remember to bring one item that reflects the book you read and be ready to talk about it.  We are having some troubles with Thursday as scholar club night this month.  I scheduled one meeting on the 31st but need to be somewhere else that night.  How about a Wednesday for our other March meeting?  See you soon.  Heather

Clubs Today!

Liberty Girls will be learning about Santa Fe and the trading posts of the 1800's. We'll be making necklaces with turquoise and silver and also making candy boats.
On the menu: Mexican hot chocolate and tamales
Song: "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" in Spanish

As a heads up March 28 will be our last book of Josefina, #6.
We'll review what we've learned all semester and make our own miniature "pueblos" or adobe villages to take home--sure to be a messy but fun project!

Remember, April we'll start our new book, Kirsten, the American Girl.
