February Book Lunch

Book lunch will be hosted by Laura W.
Tuesday Feb. 25  12:30 pm
Reading assignment below:

Book Group-

The best way to understand and get a "taste" of a culture is to read their fairy-tale's and poetry. I would like to look at America from a different viewpoint and try to see what I would see if I weren't a native. How do other people view Americans when they read our stories? What kind of flavor do our stories produce? Try to step outside the boundaries and get a different viewpoint. :)

Ralph Waldo Emerson: Essay IV - Spiritual Laws and Essay V - Love

Emily Dickinson: Poem XXV - "Resurrection" - Poem XLVI - "Aspiration" and own choice

An American Tall-Tale, Myth, or Legend of your choice

All of these should be available on the public domain.

Happy reading and discovering!
